2016 about to slip away, time for a look back before we move onto 2017! This has been a tremendous year personally for me. I finally have a fully functioning ceramic studio in my home.   It has been since 2001 and  I have missed the autonomy of making art at my own pace and place. I feel free to create and that has lead to some very satisfying series. Salt Cellars:    Not only is salt  an essential mineral to our bodies,  as a chef, it is paramount to flavor.  Meditative in their creation, they are my zen. Oysters Platters &  Pouring Pods: Three years ago I had this idea, finally they have come to fruition. I feel they have just gotten started as  I've only had one showing of them so far .  Textured Platters: Fast to make, fluid and very satisfying in their immediacy.  Soul Rattles with loved one's ashes that are hand held interactive ways to remember And most recently (as in this week)  Olive dishes with pit pods I am creating specifically
